in their homes and communities.JOB SUMMARYThe Billing Director will
work in our office located in Missoula, MT. The Billing Director is
responsible for overseeing a group of Billing Managers and all
responsibilities of their assigned teams. Oversee the successful
processing of claims for all companies, incoming payment processing
and application, and ultimately ensure all aged receivables stay
within timely filing to minimize bad debt.JOB DUTIES
- Maintain compliance with all company requirements, policies,
standards, and procedures
- Accountable and responsible for their team(s) performance and
behavior
- Maintain a professional working atmosphere; acting decisively
to address poor performance
- Ensure teams have all tools and training to succeed in their
duties assigned by Managers
- Deliver continued training to the team and Supervisors as
needed and make sure policy changes are understood and
executed
- Responsible for overseeing staff time management; make sure
tasks are completed on time
- Responsible for representing the Billing team in projects and
assigning work as required to keep projects on track
- Verify teams are completing all tasks correctly
- Maintain positive communication with the team; this includes
addressing concerns and questions of team members
- Oversee staffing procedures such as hiring, corrective actions,
and performance improvement
- Maintain professional contact with branch office(s), payer
representatives, and other departments
- Check to make sure the team is using and referencing updated
payer manuals and newsletters
- Ensure teams are maintaining all SOPs and that they are all
up-to-date and posted on SharePoint
- Document, review, and approve changes to billing rates
- Collaborate with stakeholders regarding the delivery of
services
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and decision-making
skills
- Oversee complex service programs and special projects
- Implement change management efforts with software development
and system updates
- Identify and implement process improvement and compliance
efforts
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external
clients
- Adjust to work in various companies, circumstances, and
scenarios on an as-needed basis
- Provide support for escalated issues
- Resolve escalated complaints from internal and external
clients
- Maintain discretion on all confidential information
- Collaborate with senior leadership to address department
concerns or projects
- Report all issues or concerns to the Senior Director -
Claims
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Senior Director
- Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience with Medicaid services and billing
preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience required
- Be able to successfully pass a background screening
