Job Description:
This position will provide services in Thompson Falls, Montana,
and Plains, Montana. A relocation bonus may be available with a
12-month commitment for serious applicants outside this service
area.Serving Sanders County, Montana, the Outpatient Therapist
provides clinical services to children and their families in a
school and/or community setting. This role supports the mental
health and wellness of students and families by delivering
outpatient therapy services, coordinating care, and collaborating
with school personnel to support the student's educational and
emotional needs. As a key member of Western Montana Mental Health
Centers team, the Outpatient Therapist engages in a continuum of
care to facilitate therapeutic interventions and rehabilitative
services tailored to children within the community.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIESConduct assessments and evaluations for
children and families; provide individual therapy, family therapy,
skills-building, and group therapy as appropriate.Develop treatment
plans within 90 days for new clients, outlining therapeutic
interventions and goals.Provide clinical psychoeducation, via
Tele-Health or on-site, to support school staff, families, and
clients.Coordinate with school staff and administrators to identify
and address students mental health needs, contributing to a
positive learning environment.Carry an assigned caseload, meeting
productivity expectations, and deliver emergency crisis coverage as
needed within the school setting.Abide by WMMHC's Code of Ethics,
policies, procedures, and professional standards, ensuring
confidentiality of client information.Make referrals to appropriate
community resources based on assessment outcomes and child and
family needs.Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in
compliance with WMMHC policies and standards.Offer psychoeducation
and education services to family members, clients, and the broader
community, promoting awareness of mental health services.Attend all
required staff meetings, collaborating effectively with colleagues
and providing insights on child mental health matters.Communicate
with the Director or Program Manager regarding any pending or
potential legal issues related to client services.Support
tele-therapy as required to extend services according to WMMHC's
needs.Perform additional duties as assigned by
supervisor.Outpatient Therapists possess excellent communication
skills, demonstrate the ability to remain calm in crises, utilize
ethical reflection, and understand how to complete assessments and
documentation. Experience working clinically with children and
families is preferred.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from an
accredited college with a Masters degree in Social Work,
Psychology, Counseling, or a similar field of study.Valid Licensure
in MT as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Professional candidates
will also be considered.Ability to pass a background check upon an
offer of employmentValid Drivers License and a clean driving
